weekday Markets

tuesday

Wirksworth Market, Memorial Hall, DE4 4DS - 9am to 2:00pm

Wirksworth Market is held each Tuesday in front of Memorial Hall (near the Wirksworth Heritage Centre). Stalls include a bakery, fishmonger, fruit and veg, coffee, cakes, and natural therapies.

This market is most active during the mornings, and is more likely to finish at 1pm than the advertised 2pm.

Wednesday

Matlock Market, Hall Leys Park, DE4 3AR - 9am to 3:30pm

Matlock Market is held each Wednesday in the centre of Matlock. Stalls include a bakery, fishmonger, and fruit and veg. The market does not close early unless there is extreme weather.

thursday

Ashbourne Market, Shrovetide Walk - 9am to 3pm

This market is small and needs some love from its community. It is held next to the Library with Pay and Display parking at Shawcroft car park or two hours free parking at Sainsbury's.

Stalls will vary, but core stalls include fruit and veg, bakery, and fishmonger. Ashbourne has a number of butchers, a few shops selling cheese, a health food shop, and a green grocer.

Stallholders will tend to pack up before 3pm if business seems to be slow, and we recommend arriving before 2:30pm for the best selection.

Pop-Ups

We also do pop-ups when the opportunity arises! The goal is to one day run the shop from our van, and establish a refills route, bringing zero-waste shopping to people around the Peak District. In the meantime, we are able to 'set up shop' in a 2.5m x 3m area, or if outdoors in our own gazebo in a 3m x 3m area.

If you know of a good pop-up opportunity, please contact us via e-mail (hello@refillsontheroad.com) or phone us on 07985266154.
